Our Pastor  

My name is Jim Voss, and I have been serving as the pastor of Calvary Baptist Church since March of 1996. 
God has blessed my family through this church and ministry.  I have had the privilege of serving with my beautiful wife, Denise, and three wonderful daughters, Holly, Stephanie, and Sara.  In 1976, I was saved at Grace Baptist Temple in Prattville, AL under the evangelistic ministry of Dr. Tom Farrell, and served under the leadership of Pastor George O'Brian.  In 1979, God called me to preach, and I attended Bible college after graduating from Grace Baptist School.  While at home on a Christmas break from college, I got out of the will of God, and for 17 years, I ran from God.  In 1993, while serving in law enforcement, I was shot, and God used that event in my life to get my attention.  I surrendered to the will of God, and in 1996, I became the pastor of our church.  I am thankful that God is the God of second chances.  It has been a joy to be a part of our church family, and by the grace of God, I look forward to many more years of serving the Lord Jesus Christ in this ministry.
